For Swing, I suggest you take a look @ JIDE - which is a commercial package but IMHO worth every penny.

I'm looking for GUI libraries in SWT on Grid/PivotTable that make Excel-like implementation easy in Java. I'm also interested in other language (c++,c#,qt,python,etc), If anyone have any suggestions please let me know.
