I am just about to join an IT company as a fresher .The company requires basic knowledge in Scheme programming language. They use DrScheme.

They provided us with a link to some MIT online material. But the theory there is a little obscure , and i need to know it from the scratch.

Can you suggest some books for this purpose?

I sincerely apologize for the Heading i provided, it was a little childish.

Thanks, Ulf for making it more comprehensible.

I also have a question, is this book "Structure and Interpretation of Computer Programs" mentioned in the given link about Scheme programming?
I went to amazon, but couldn't gather that information.

Yes that book is about scheme and lisp in fact. I used that book back in uni for the "Intro to CS" aka Scheme programming class. You will learn from it recursion vs iteration stuff. Great book for scheme.
