Guys,

I'm considering myself to learn a CMS solution which is java based and of course open sourced. I have the following in mind:

(1) Alfresco
(2) Drupal - guess it is php based

Is there any other competing CMS system which is easy to develop with and customize?

I honestly have not used CMS solutions much myself, but I have heard entirely good things about Drupal.

Yes, but I do not want to get into PHP development in case I consider Drupal.
