This has nothing to do with JDBC.

Is the HTTPS port open to serve your request ?

1. Your applet does not load. This is not indicative of a problem with a database connection / JDBC

2. If your applet does load but cannot make a JDBC connection with a DB that is another question all together.

Is your applet signed ? Does your java console throw an error ?

ASP pages are hosted on some other type of server. Not related to java

1. My applet is a signed one. Its showing "com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerException: The TCP/IP connection to the host has failed. java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused: connect"

all asp /java are with in the same server machine.

2. Applet is loading but it was unable to connect to the database.
