How to avoid Vertical scollbar in <Select>

I have added scrollbar to <select > using CSS , but due to this two vertical scrollbar are showing one with default and one added with CSS , is there any way to avoid vertical scrollbar

How did you add a scrollbar to the select? Please show the code. And what browser is ti working in?
