This line is from David's book...what does this mean?

by the time requestDestroyed is called the response has been commited



does this mean that i have called out.flush()? i am trying to create a new session in requestDestroyed....according to the book i should get illegalstateexception because the response could be commited....so i called out.flush..but no exception..where did i go wrong? can anyone clarify
