Does the DEFAULT_PRIORITY (4) is the highst priority value ?

A little more information might help, like what file/context are your seeing/setting this in? An example would be good.

Sorry,

I have two "clients/senders" that are using the same queue , I need to give a higher priority when sending the message in the queue for one of them (each sender as is on priority that I define).



From what I understand the highest priority is the DEFUALT_PRIORITY (message with priority 4 as preference on message with priority 7 ), am I right ?
Also , how can I monitor the messages in the queue ?

I have no idea of the class that "sender" is an instance of, nor do I know what the "send" method does.

I assume that at some point your code calls javax.jms.Message.setJMSPriority(). Looking at a book I have on JMS, it mentions that priority numbers range from 1 to 9. That is also mentioned here:
