I have a java desktop application that I wrote that is installed with lzpack. The installation of the application works fine on xp and linux but i get some file access errors when tiring to install the application on vista and windows 7. Any ideas on how to sign the jar file or something to get the os to ok the installation?

Thanks

Run the installer with administrator privileges.

Thanks, I know izpack has something to get around this and make a exe but I really do not want to get into two installers.

If the answer is more complicated than what Rob Prime said, then you're asking a question about izpack and not a question about Java. In which case it should be moved to a more suitable form. Is Rob's answer not the final answer?

It was easier just to have two installers. Thanks
