Hi,

I am developing a web based software system for Virtual Forex Trading. In my application I have to make a call to web service which is providing live currency(currency pair) trading updates. I searched in google regarding the details about such (foreign exchange updates) web services. Most of them are subscription basis. I am not able to find a web service which is free to call and use for development purpose. As I am a student I will not be able to spend money on this. Does anybody know any web service which is providing live forex trading updates for free. Can you let me know so that it will be very useful for me to develop my application..

Thanks and Regards,
Ramesh.

I've previously looked for simlar, and found that a few places will provide you with data, but not always live - there is a short delay.
I seem to recall reading somewhere there are legal implications when providing live information.

Yes i agreed with that statement, it may not provide live data but it might be suitable for a kind of university projects or open source projects.

Otherwise you have to go for a premium price for the web services

Why not make your own service? Granted you won't be able to return accurate data, but for testing your application you don't need accurate data. What you are paying for with those services is accuracy.
