... were apparently more common than chicken eggs in the USA before the mid-1930s. Salmonella problems led to their fall from grace. I've had an occasional quail egg, but not sure I've ever had a duck egg, although I've eaten a lot of duck.

What have you never eaten, although you'd happily eat it if it showed up on your plate?

I'm an omnivore. With very few exceptions I'd try almost anything edible.

Any kind of bear (no pun intended), just out of curiosity. But I've never seen one on the menu, not even during hunting season (if such hunting was allowed at all).

Crocodile, i always wanted to try it but i only heard comments like "well, you can eat, but you don't have to and at this price, nah" and "like chicken but more boring". Then i really wonder how the obligatory pastrami sanwich from US films and TV series tastes.
But first on my list is a bison steak.
