I am getting only compile Warning. Are you referring warning or Error ?

Set "s" use generics.... So, the set returned by the Hashtable "entrySet" method is also expected by the compiler to use Generics...

Since in this code snippet Hashtable does not use Generics, it ends up in warning...

Try to give a correct description of your problem. In your case you're getting a warning and NOT an error. They are 2 completely different things. In the former case the compiler only warns you about something and in the latter case the compiler doesn't accept your code because it is just plain wrong.

I'm pretty sure that in the code (in the picture that was posted while I was writing my post) you defined m as something like : Hashtable<Object, Object> and not as Hashtable like you posted in the openings post.

ohh extremely sorry all ....in too much confusion i wrote it;

it is Hashtable<Object,Object> = new Hashtable<Object,Object>();
