Hi,

I'd like to know if you'd recommend "OSGi in Action" for beginners (in programming).

Thank you

I haven't read the book, but I wouldn't say that OSGi itself is a topic for programming-beginners.

For beginner OSGi programmers? Yes, I'd like to think so. It doesn't assume any prior knowledge about OSGi.

I think Java beginners can get something out of OSGi in Action, and there's plenty there for advanced developers too. Understanding basic concepts of modularity should help beginners become better programmers even if they don't end up using OSGi. And if you want to get a taste of our writing style the first chapter is available for free: http://www.manning.com/hall/Hall_MEAP_01.pdf.
