Get rid of what? Back button?

What back button you are talking about browser's back button or you have any back button in your application's web page? Please be specific and clear on what you wanna ask

if we use validation-frame work we can only apply the validations on that form/jsp. say we have our own back button on the same page/jsp/form, which can be used to edit privious page's data how to handle this in a simple way.

[ 2 buttons are there one page. 1 is submit to go to next page and one is back button to go to privious page to edit that page's values/text boxes/drop down boxes.]
