Hi guys, I have gone through the head first book for J2EE and want to practice coding by working on small projects/assignments.
Can you please suggest any project(s)??

You can do a quick search on the internet for some small open source projects to work on. As a start, you can test the system and submit bugs, as
you gain much understanding how the hole thing works, it only then you can be ready to start coding.

a small dynamic homepage for you. if you have a hobby that involves lots of "stuff" books/music/fishing a database of your stuff and a search facility, and a wish list for present buying events.

it will also need a config page for entering the wishlist, and existing stuff database.
