hi !

I have a big probleme for to install Jforum.
When i launch the install's process i have this message :

Please give write access for the user who is running the webserver to the file 'index.htm' and for the directory 'WEB-INF/config' and its subdirectories before continuing.

JForum needs to write its configurations there. When you're done, click at "Try Again".

i have give the full acces on the directory 'WEB-INF/config' and 'index.htm' and this message appear always.

See the structure of my website :

they are the first directory
/public_html
on this directory they are my directory WEB-INF:
/public_htm/WEB-INF/config
/public_htm/WEB-INF/classes
/public_htm/WEB-INF/lib

and the jforum is :
/public_htm/jforum.

I don't understant why y have this error.

Can you help me please

thanks for all

It happens even if you begin installing from scratch? If you can't get it working, you can always try manual installation: http://www.jforum.net/install_no_wizard.jsp

However, JForum will not work inside the directory "jforum" - it's directories (templates, images etc) should be in the root directory.

Probably the next version (2.1.5) will allow this kind of personalization, but current (2.1.4 and older) do not.

JForum *can* be run from the directory "jforum." Simply add a context for that directory within the host block for your website in Tomcat's server.xml file.
