When i open this method definition in Java , There is a text Returns the Desktop instance of the current browser context , is it means that it deals with browser , IE or CHROME or it means , .mp3 is supported by windows media player .

I think that's incorrect phrasing in the javadocs; it should probably read something like "Returns the Desktop instance of the current context." The Desktop class is tied to the AWT context, not to any browser - it is generally used in desktop apps (as opposed to server-based apps, where the functionality it provides isn't useful).
