Which certification exam to take OCJP6 / OCJP 7?

Hi all ranchers,

I am planning to give java certification in 2-3 weeks. I have prepared for the exam and my study material included- SCJP 6 by Kathy Sierra and some topic from Head First Java. I have also given some online mock test and scored around 75%. I want to know what else should be done to improve my score in the exam.

Moreover, I am confused between which exam to take OCJP 6/ OCJP 7. OCJP 7 has a pre condition of an Associate exam.

Can i take OCJP 6 and then go for OCWCD 7 directly?

No more confusions, you can go and take your OCP JP 6 exam because OCP JP 7 exam ask you to take prior exam. So you must need to take OCA JP 7 before OCP JP 7. Better you can go for SCJP6.

I think you asked about Web Component Developer 6 exam because still WCD 6 is the latest version. Yes you can go for OCE JWCD exam after finish you OCP JP 6 exam.

Rebecca has nicely replied your queries. I would suggest you to take up OCPJP 6 now and go for the WCD version.
