Help on velocity template?

Hi,

I have written a velovity template to display data in my java objects.
I pass collection of objects to template which then iterate the collection and display the data in rows and columns form.

If one of the field in java object is a collection of values, then template is placing all the collection values in same box, with values separated by ',' and surrounded by '[]'.
What I want is that every single value is displayed in next row(other columns would then be empty for those rows). But not able to figure out how to do that.
Any idea how to achieve this?

You can iterate through a collection like this

#foreach ($it in $them)
<td>
$it
</td>
#end
