In My Humble Opinion, this is one obnoxious website. It's stark, it's arrogant, and - most unforgivably - the actual message is crammed into a tiny scrollable box that severely limits its readability.
And while I certainly can make horrible-looking web pages (some say that's the only type I make), I sincerely hope I don't fail the usability tests in such an awful way.
As for the assertions, themselves, the medium destroyed the message. I didn't waste my time scrolling through that minuscule textbox. What little I did see were mostly superficial impressions and they fell into the spectrum of A) Yes, B), That's something I expect to see in the next release (assuming that the standards in question are stable by then), C) No, you idiot, it's done that way for a reason.
The secret of how to be miserable is to constantly expect things are going to happen the way that they are "supposed" to happen.
You can have faith, which carries the understanding that you may be disappointed. Then there's being a willfully-blind idiot, which virtually guarantees it.
