regading; starting of all web applications in netbeans

hi

I created 2 web applications in netbeans using servlets . Now when i right click on one application to run it , the server starts other web app too !!

Though this is not a problem , but would anybody tell me why this happens and how do i stop it.

That's what web application servers normally do when you start them. That's why it happens in your case. How do you stop it? Well, as you say it isn't a problem...

The only thing being "started" is the web container. e.g. Tomcat.
Think of it as a shop. You open the shop in the morning and all the items on display are available for purchase. If you don't want to sell something, take them off the shelf.
