i have a social network i developed using php i want to know how i can convert this into an android application. read some sources and most f the solutions given where centered around using webview but will it be as responsive as the facebook android app. thanks beginner in android

Displaying even a site optimized for mobile in a Webview is not close to a native experience. The FB apps used to be in Webviews, but I think they're fully native at this point.

Start reading here: http://developer.android.com/guide/components/index.html but it'll be easier to get a good introductory book. http://android-developers.blogspot.de/?hl=en is also required reading for serious Android developers.
