I'd like to know if EJB is ready for cloud environment.

Yes, you have use EJB on the cloud. For example you can try OpenShift or the Oracle Cloud. You can also run GlassFish/WildFly on Amazon.

That's a good question. A lot of books start discussing EJB technology saying that they're distributed objects, but I've never read one where
their application in multi-tenancy enviroment is shown. It would be nice to have real-life examples illustrated in handbooks covering
that topic.

I think it would be a good topic for a blog. A bit too much of an edge case still for a book.
