XML Validation Error

I have the following XSD files:

    <element name="tag1">
        <complexType>
            <sequence minOccurs="1" maxOccurs="1">
                <choice>
                    ...

The test.xsd that I'm importing is:

    xmlns:tns="http://www.x.y.z.com/test">

        ...
    </complexType>
    <element name="entries" type="tns:EntriesType"></element>
</schema>

Now when I want to validate the following XML:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<tag1 xmlns="http://www.x.y.z.com/test/folder/targetnamespace" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:test="http://www.x.y.z.com/test">
    <id>ABCDEF</id> 
    <profile>
        ...
        ...
        <test:entries>
          ...
          ...
        </test:entries>
    </profile>
</tag1>

I get the following error:

src-resolve: Cannot resolve the name 'test:entries' to a(n) 'element declaration' component

Any ideas as to how I could resolve this error?

In test.xsd,

schema targetNamespace="http://www.x.y.z.com/test/folder/targetnamespace"  

should be read

schema targetNamespace="http://www.x.y.z.com/test"

That did not solve the problem either. I corrected it and still I face the same error! Do I have to pass both the XSD files in my validation routine?

Your xml itself is incorrect:

<tag1 xmlns="http://www.x.y.z.com/test/folder/targetnamespace" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:tns="http://www.x.y.z.com/test">

should obviously read

<tag1 xmlns="http://www.x.y.z.com/test/folder/targetnamespace" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:test="http://www.x.y.z.com/test">

I modified my XML, but still face the same error!

The problem was with loading the Schema files and I do not see a reason as to why it should fail. I modified the bit where I load the XSD file to also load the imported XSD and then it seems to be fine!
