Hi, I need to form a 'multipart/form-data' REST request with jpeg image and json file as the content .

Can someone tell me , how i can achieve this with RestClient? I could not find any documentation regarding this.

Have a look at the Apache CXF API! To start with, I can give you some Pseudo Code!

Once you have your attachments List, you then create a WebClient and pass the MultiPart body to the appropriate HTTP method (PUT for example)

The Scala version should be more or less similar to Groovy and the Apache CXF API should be compatible as Groovy compiles into byte code on the JVM!

Welcome to the Ranch.

It's hard to tell what's going wrong with only a code fragment. Is ocutag defined? If it is, maybe it's returning null because it can't find the resource.

The NullPointer is at RESTClient.java:140. Can you post that source code please!

RESTClient is an external API. The OP probably doesn't have the source code.

@Raghu: is that the complete error message? We seem to be missing the line in your code that causes the error.

Yes. It looks like the exception is being thrown when the request object is being created. But, i can't figure out the reason behind it.

Does https://localhost:8200 exists on your machine? What happens if you try to open it in a browser?

Anyone ever find the solution for this? I am trying to do a similar thing, and there is little documentation anywhere with the Groovy RESTclient POST binary file.
Thanks

Paul
