Should be very good to begin and by the time you have gone through and played with server littile bit you know most of the administartion.
WebLogic user group for administration is also very useful.

The only published book out there dedicated specifically to WebLogic Server 5.1 is the wrox book Professional J2EE Programming with BEA WebLogic Server, but it doesn't really cover administration very well.
For that, the best source is BEA's WLS 5.1 Admin document.
If you were lucky enough to take the $3,000 BEA WebLogic Admin class, you get a really great source, "Developing Enterprise Applications with BEA WebLogic Server 5.1," but I don't believe you can buy it or download it separately from BEA.
