Both of them should be dropped. They have scored 2 and 1 runs.

. Then the score will be 5 for 5.
I heard weather in Hyderabad is humid and hot.Is that a factor for bad performance of Indian cricket players?

Dravid should also be removed he averages 7 in this series.

Indian media was busying praising Greg chappell and Dravid.'

INDIA WON ONLY BECASUE SRILANKA DID NOT PLAY WELL.

Greg Chappell is now busy shooting for ads. He is also making lot of money.

Provoked probably by Sourav Ganguly's fans outside the Eden Gardens on the eve of the match, coach Greg Chappell, rather shockingly it must be said, gave them his middle finger.

No dubt India lost the match shamelessly. Instead of concentrating on cricket the coach is doing all non sense.

Ganguly has scored 159 runs.

The behaviour of Kolkata crowd was next to horrible. They cheered South Africa to Victory. I never thought that majority of dada's fans are a bunch of morons. Chappell should have mouthed some obscenities at those nutcracks. Being a cultivated Gentleman(unfortunately dada is not) he stopped with pointing a finger. Some people are proposing of dropping Dravid. He is the best batsman india has ever had(more than sachin and Sunny). He raises above parochialism and does not create any rifts in the team.

Dada does not deserve to utter the name 'cricket'. Both of his centuries are on thread bare and B-grade attacks and on a placid pitch. There were rumours that dada got his own roller to prepare the pitch to his liking in one of the above matches.

Couple of my observations
- Kolkotta crowd was erratic no doubt. B'lore crowd accepted Kumble's absence, Hyderabad accepted VVS Laxman's absense so that behavious was surely uncalled for. And I don't think presence of Ganguly in the team would have made any difference to the match's result.
- By Showing the middle finger to crowd, Chappell didn't do anything good to the existing controversy. Moreover the reasoning he gave later (that he was nursing an injured finger) was nothing more than an utter crap

P.S. So David, is this news making top stories in Australia?

Overall everything has un-necessarily created a rift with-in the team. Hope everything would be settled pretty soon and in the mean time better watch Lara celebrating his batting in Australia.

Not really registering, but with the test against the WI and Lara becoming highest scoring batsman and other events it isn't completely surprising.

I am very disappointed with what's going on. I think it's time to ax Dungarpur, Dalmia, Pawar, Mahendra. Politics is taking a front seat and I as a cricket fan, am extremly unhappy with the effect on the Indian cricket team.

I didn't wattch the 4th ODI. But if it's true that the crowd got excessively emotional and booed the Indian cricketers (they are justified in booing the coach), then the consequences could be ugly for Saurav and Bengal. Is it that tough to boo Bengali cricketers in other parts of the country? The gist of the matter is that we Indians do not know where to draw the line. When we get excited emotionally, we go to any extent to prove ourselves, even wishing our team defeat. Better, we express our disappointments in the local and national channels but cheer the team, be it led by Dravid, Ganguly or Tendulkar.

I don't think the billion Indian cricket fans deserve any of this. Let a player make it to the team on merits. Let the ball or bat do the talking. And the captain should be a brand ambassador. He represents not just himself but an entire nation. I hope cricket takes the fron stage again in India instead of petty politics and emotions.

What does best mean ? Best players are the one who performs. Non performers must be dropped be it Dravid or Sachin.

If India loses today it will be for the first time that India lost to S.Africa in a home series. I wonder what will media write about Greg and Dravid. The Indian team is happy that they back in India(from foreign country Kolkata).
Just being in india is not enough, they need to win. If Sachin does not score he should be dropped. Dravid is next in the list.

I don't agree with the crowd's assessment. If Sourav needs to be back, then as Kapil said, he needs to come back on his current form. As far as past records go, every player had his heydey. True, Sourav did a great job especially in Australia and in Pakistan. But how can we forget the Pakistan series in India where India was bundled out in half a day in the 2nd innings? And the one-day series where Pakistan came from behind to clinch the series.
And Dravid a politician? Where did that come from?
Sorry, the Calcutta crowds are not setting a good precedent. This could lead to divisions based on state. If India continues to get distracted by these events, then the chances of it winning the 2007 World Cup are slim. We can blame whoever we like, but to the outside world, we look foolish not being able to set aside differences for the nation.
The truth is that Dravid is now the captain. And he was selected by the selectors. He has enough seniority, skillset as a team player. The Indian team has performed well in the last 2 series. We need to see a little more before we make a decision on his captaincy.

I feel sorry for dada and his fans. His time is up and he is at the disposal and mercy of Chappell and Dravid. He(Dada) will surely be used like a rusted spare part.

Ideal way to terminate his career is putting him in the opening slot.

There are lot of youngters who can do better fielding and score more than 2 runs sometimes more than 30.

Sachin is not better fielder (and batsman - in recent past ) then Kaif or Yuvraj, be he is far better then Ganguly.

Harbhajan can compete with Ganguly for the worst fielder of the team title.
