Tomcat Configuration

Hi everybody....

I installed Tomcat-Jakarta Server in Windows98.tried to configure tomcat.bat,but failed to run.I think the configuration that i had done was wrong.Could anyone help me in configuring Tomcat in Win98/2000.I am trying to install Tomcat in Windows 2000 Advanced Server today.Expecting a note for configuring in detail.

I install tomcat all the time by using jakarta-tomcat-4.1.24.exe file

1- make sure you have java installed not just JRE.
2- define environment variable JAVA_HOME = dir of JSDK
eg: JAVA_HOME = c:\jdk1.3

then add this to the begining of your environment path
eg: path=%JAVA_HOME%\bin;.....

and it is very smooth install just select NT service when installing.
