We have quite a few tomcat apps and would like to use a common .properties file to access common information.

I'm under the impression that I can put a properties file in the tomcat_home/shared/classes directory and all of the apps will be able to access it. True?

I've placed my common.properties file in the tomcat_home/shared/classes directory, but get an error when trying to load it:

I get the following error:
"Can't find bundle for base name common.properties, locale en_US"

I'm using eclipse...

don't know if it's syntax or classpath. I would guess classpath, but don't know how to create the classpath association to a properties file (also doesnt seem like I should be doing this) - when I try, it seems to want to associate to a jar file rather than a .properties file.

Thanks

I think there should not be the extension .properties, just common.
