Maybe if you ever used JBuilder, you might offer an opinion of its relative excellence vis-a-vis the "industry norm."

Among commercial offerings JBuilder IS the industry norm

Performance, support, features, ease of use, true roundtrip coding (your typed changes directly affect the visual designer and vv, in most IDEs this isn't the case), etc. etc. all make JBuilder stand out from the rest.
 
With a little knowledge, a cast iron skillet is non-stick and lasts a lifetime.
