Hi,

I recently moved from NB 3.6 to 5.0
I cant find where to set the output directory, it by defaults creates a build/classes* structure within the same project.

How can I set the output dir to a specific directory?

Many thanks
Ahmad

Take a look at the -do-compile target in the build.xml file that comes with every project. It copies the compile .class files over after they have been created. I think you can just set the "build.classes.dir" property to point to someplace else.

Unfortunately NetBeans tries to regenerate the build.xml file every time you change something in the properties menu. I'm sure there is a better way to do this, I just don't know it.
