Hi all.

I have worked for a little time with RedHat 7.2 and I like it, now I want to choose a distro for use.
can I shift my knowledge in 7.2 to Fedora ?

Fedora
personaly, I like these distros and I don't want to use debian or mendrak..

From my experience, SuSE is very stable, easy-to-setup and easy-to-use product. Fedora is too bugy. If I were you, I would take SuSE.

Personally, I've had great luck with FC2. Haven't tried FC3 yet.

Fedora always includes the latest version of packages, which are in some cases a good one but other cases it means untested one (aka buggy). Some packages are even still in Beta version. It suits for you, if you like trying the newest version of packages. Fedora is also like a beta version for RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL). And therefore it gives me bad feeling being beta tester for RedHat using my operative system.
SuSE, on the other hand, using a more conservative way. It includes only the tested and stable packages.
Of course it doesnt mean that SuSE has no bugs. But it minimizes the possibility. SuSE is a very stable distro and it suits for operative environment.

I've always found it quite easy installing linux [SuSE] - it's all menu driven . Of course you should backup anything important before you start, but then you create backups anyway, right!

If you're familiar with RH7.2, Fedora is quite comfortable. It's the same basic architecture, only friendlier (if larger).

FC3 is the latest Fedora release. I skipped from FC1 to FC3 because of issues in dual-booting. FC1 ran my MythTV PC which I used to record my favorite TV shows after broadcasters moved them all to 2AM.
