Hi I am using red hat linux 4 upgarde 2.

Please let me know whether it is command based only or it has user interface also.

And if it has user interface how to use it or find it

My support team saying no user interface.it is command based only.

But I have installed websphere on the system(using commands)
And Now I have to create a new project on that.and writing java codes etc etc etc

Regards

Yes, RHEL4 has a graphical user interface but your admin may not have installed it.

Is this RHEL installation on your workstation or a server? If it's the server, do you have an X server on your workstation?

Where is the WebSphere IDE installed on your workstation or the server?

Hi scott thanks for reply.its an urgent issue.

linux is installed on other machine and websphere is also installed on machine.

I dont know what is this X server. But I am just asking with support team now.
It is the single linux system with red hat installed on it.

I am accessing that machine through my window machine.
now if user interface exists which software I should use to access the linux gui.

please be in touch.issue need to be solved today only.

Log in to the keyboard and monitor at the machine itself. If you get a prompt and no GUI appears, type "startx" and cross your fingers!
