Is there any way to findout which row i am currently typing-in in a 'textarea' on 'onkepress' event.

Afraid not,,,,,to the best of my knowledge...It is even a pain to figure out where the cursor is located in the text area.
I am just going to think out loud here:
The only thing I can think of is you may be able to get the value of the code escape it and look for line breaks and count the number of breaks, but the will not count for the non-enter new rows.
You are the first person I think that has asked this question in the forums I have been in.
