Hi guys.
I am using IE6 , and now want to switch to another(IE sucks, no security at all).
I have these choices:
Mozilla FireFox 0.8
Opera 7
Netscape 7.1
So what do you think Eric? which one of these are better ?
some guys tell me that FireFox and Netscape are so slow ?
others tell that MS has destroied Netscape!!
is it right?
I need a browser that supports Java applets and flash(like opera and netscape)..
waiting for your advice.....

John,
I like Mozilla/Netscape. It's a little slower than IE to start up and uses more memory. But the pages load at the same speed.

My personal preference would be Mozilla 1.6
Firefox is there new browser which is "lighter" then the other browsers..
Mozilla 1.7 should be coming out soon, I think they are in beta right now.
My one computer has almost all of the windows supported browsers on there. I work in a "windows shop" so I use IE most of the time.

Hi again...
Please forgive me, I don't want to disturbe you and these are the last questions.
I have made the following changes to my IE :
------------------
download signed activex controls: prompt
download unsigned activex controls: disable
initialize and script activex controls not marked as.... : disable
run activex controls marked safe for scrpting: prompt
script activex controls marked safe for scripting: prompt
------------------
right ??
second one:
would you mind telling me why you preffer Mozilla ? why you don't preffer Opera or firefox?
thanks alot..

Opera has trouble with some DHTML, plus of the ad banner
Firefox is new, I like to avoid new things...
