Is there any specific scenarios where only we can use AJAX ? Can it replace HttpRequest and HttpResponse completely ??

Ajax has nothing to do with replacing the classes that you mentioned. When you make an Ajax request to a servlet or JSP, it's just like making a "normal" request as far as the servlet engine is concerned.

So your question makes little sense.
