When I am looking through the Saloon for a solution to a problem (which I always do before posting), I have found the Search tool to be somewhat mysterious. For example, it clearly allows me to search the current topical forum, but I don't see how to search the entire Saloon without searching the entire site. I would like a menu choice that says "Entire Saloon," or something like that.
Or am I overlooking the obvious?

The search facility does not search the entire site. It searches through a specific forum or all open forums (we currently have no archives). You cannot search a private forum unless you currently have access to that forum.

Okay, I see my mistake. When I select the pull-down menu, it starts at Java Ranch. Since most pull-down menus start at the top, I never considered that there were listings above. (Yes, the fact that Java Ranch starts with "J" should have tipped me off, but it didn't.) Now I have searched the site quite a few times and missed all of the upper selections each time. Could others be making the same mistake?
