XML and Oracle

I am getting started with XML. We have an IBM rs6000 machine running aix with Oracle. Will the XML SDK for Oracle 8i work on an IBM machine. I saw downloads for windows, solaris, etc. But non for IBM.

If it is written in 100% pure Java, it should! ( James Gosling is listening )
I guess this is a question for Oracle tech support. They should have a platform matrix available.
