We are looking for Java developers for our front-end team. We are looking for a Junior Developer with web experience (although we would also be interested in mid-level people if there is a good fit).

WHO ARE WE

We are Nuroa, a start-up based in Barcelona (Spain), that has created a vertical search engine for Real Estate. Online since last September, we have received several awards and have recently closed a round A financing round with VCs.

Currently we are active in the Spanish and the German markets, but new ones are to come. We have a young and international team (9 nationalities), and our working language is English.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR

You are able to work in Spain immediately (that is, you have a working visa for Spain or you are national from any EU country), and you are willing to relocate here.

You have been working on commercial Java web development, and have seen and worked with Servlets + JSP 2.0. Ideally, you have experience with the Spring framework.

You can code JavaScript efficiently, and have working experience with it. Possibly, you are familiar with at least one popular AJAX framework as well.

You have been working with Databases as a developer, and have a strong knowledge of SQL (preferably Oracle, but experience with any database with a good implementation of the SQL92 specification will work).

And most of all, you have passion for Java development. We must say that overall geekness is a strong plus

WE WILL NOT ACCEPT ANY CV THAT DOES NOT FULFILL THESE REQUIREMENTS, SPECIALLY THE VISA/RELOCATION

WHAT WOULD YOU BE DOING

You would be part of the front-end team, where you will be working with our product managers and designers, as well as with all the other techies, to implement new features in our website. Also, you will be fixing bugs, writing tests for your code, writing some scripts, ...

You will be spending your time mostly with Java, SQL, JSPs, HTML, CSS, Javascript ...

At all times, you will be working with a high degree of independence and responsibility.

WHAT WILL YOU GET

Market salary, according to what you are bringing to the table (20,000 - 30,000 / year)
Health care plan
Access to our company's Stocks Options plan
Help with your relocation
Good chances to increase your responsibilities over time
Sun, beach and nice weather

Perhaps, but in Spain salaries are particularly low, typically 20,000 to 30,000 Euros for seasoned IT professionals, so their offer is simply standard market value compared to the rest of Spain, have a look on "Monster.es" salaries if you have doubts.

Please note that cost of life is much lower too than surrounding countries so it compensates low salary, although Barcelona is very expensive, as much as Paris.

Best regards.
