I am looking for a free tool (set of tools) for detecting differences in XML files. I mean differences in nodes and attributes, not in lines of text, or in order of nodes or attributes. What could you recommend?

You can use examXML. I tried with it. It is very nice. The only problem is that, we need to buy, its not an free source. Ofcourse, a trial version of 45 days is available.
