Well, I used to save data to XML files, use it as a configuration file in my Swing application, use XSLT to print PDF files. Now is the AJAX!

OOps! What can XML do? It seems it can do everything!

XML is used in Web Services as well.

Actually it is not the XML alone that gives it its power, but the applications, programmes, APIs that utilise XML supplies the core power to It.

Its not that XML can do everything, but it can be used for many things. The prime reason being that its a data markup language, and all applications require data in some form or another hence all applications can use XML in one form or another.
