Are there any session topics (within Java,C#,Perl,Python,Smalltalk,Process,Patterns,Practice,People) that you'd like to hear?
I need to submit a topic for mid-next year at a meet. I do have an idea for one (how not to lose sight of your customers, the minimas) but wondered if there is any topic that you, as a developer practitioner, feel deserves some attention.

I would love to hear some ideas.

I'd recommend sticking to something you feel like you know best or something that interests you yourself the most.

Keeping customers happy interests me. Happy customers make for happy bosses and happy workers.
These days it's a bit difficult to know *who* your customer's really are.

OK, quickly moving on to new topics....

Customers like to be pleasantly surprised.

Would that be, occasionally or often ?
Perhaps someone'd recall an occasion when they were pleasantly surprised or managed to surprise(a pleasant one) their customers.
For instance, buying a Mac vs Microsoft show two very different approaches to surprising their customers.
Why is ebay so successful ?
Gambling on horses to loose is a new paradigm and some people think it's the best thing since sliced bread.

Why should the customer trust the BDUF people to deliver a "changeable" system ?
They themselves don't even have trust in the easy changeability of the system during development.
