It's been one of those days.

One thing after another ... and it just doesn't seem to stop.

So I get off the phone with three things to do in the next 90 minutes only to discover that the internet is down.

In about five minutes I figure out that my router has gone stupid. I end up having to push the tiny reset button in the back (and lose all of my configuration). It works! Now I can focus on the list again. 60 seconds later it isn't working. Reset again and it works for another 60 seconds. The router won't even talk to me.

So I buy a new router and set it up. It works! For about 60 seconds! ???

Some kind of router virus?

So now that I have a brand new linksys router, complete with manual and all, I call tech support. I'm on hold for about fifteen minutes before I start looking through the manual a little .... I disconnect the router and connect my computer directly to the net and then go through the process of upgrading my router software.

Seems to all be working okay now.

But if it's some sort of router virus, wouldn't this problem be some sort of epidemic today?

Could you hold this kitten for a sec? I need to adjust this tiny ad:
