Why reinvent the wheel? JavaRanch IMHO, is one of the best Java websites around.

If you want to host your own website (java or otherwise), then Google for something like "website hosting" and you'll get enough hits to keep you off the streets for the rest of the century.

Cheers,
JD

I believe i not reinventing the wheel. I believe every one is aware of Hosting a normal HTML Website. However people with basic knowledge will not knowing how a web application has been deployed or what will be charged if we are hosting a J2ee Application. Please understand that I want to make this thread as much as useful to me and to all.

The Servlets FAQ contains a list of hosting providers that support Java, starting at about USD 5 per month. Reading through their service descriptions should give you an idea of what's involved.

Of course, to build a community, you also need to attract members. That will be harder than building, hosting and maintaining the web site.

Not a Java question; not a Beginner question. This is a question about hosting providers, so off to "General Computing" it goes.
