hello guys,
thanx to your posts and resources on javaranch.
I passed the scwcd exam today with 100%. It was nice to get a good score.
my preparation :
hanumants book
Oreilley servlets book
all the mock exams mentioned on the links page
jsp and servlet specs.
Actually what i found was that hanu's book was excellent. I think thats all anyone would need to pass the test.The test was simple compared to the scjp test. I had read the specs once or twice but i would say that even reading them is not really necessary. The SCWCD guide book was great. The 3 tests which came with the e-book edition were cool.I found that a some of the questions on the exam were similar to these tests. I didnt read any of the notes or tutorials mentioned on the links page. I found the spec and the book enough. Time wise :- i gave 3 weeks with
2 weekends * 5-6 hours
12 working days * 2 hours
This was more than enough.
As a passing note, i tried to buy whizlabs tool on saturday , but i just couldnt generate the unique customer key or whatever. They had no support over the weekend , so i had no chance to use it at all. I have asked them to give my money back.
thats it really.

am currently reading the Hanu-book. And its really very good.

smita , i just used all the mock exams mentioned on the scwcd links page. i had also bought the e-edition of hanu's book which comes with 3 mock tests. These resources seem quite sufficient. specs were also nice. API documentation especially for servlets was also something nice to have knowledge of , it also gives u a lot of confidence.

In the post you metioned that you did all the mock tests mentioned on this site. So did you buy the jweb+ and Whiz Labs SCWCD@Whiz Commercial exam ? Which one did you buy??

I didnt buy any tool as such. I bought the e-edition of the hanu book which comes with 3 exams.
