So after 3 months of preparation that too with intermittent breaks i finally passed my SCJP exam... Though i do not know how useful it will be , it was definitely a learning experience.

I had a few surprises at exam though which i would like to share with others..
The exam had 82 questions, though in K&B and whizlabs had 72 questions. The time given was 215 minutes.
I was left with 30-35 mins for rechecking. So you really have to pace yourself.
At the test center they gave me plastic scratchpads and markers. It was very very difficult to write with the markers since there tip was so thick. I could not note down my drapn drop answers !!! Moreover i changed them almost 4 times, so it was frustrating. I asked for paper and pencil but they did not provide that.
There was no break inbetween the exam and no water was also allowed !!!
The fountain was far off and would take 5 mins to get to.

But even with all this, i managed to concentrate and clear the exam with a whopping 84%!!! All credit to K&B's wonderful book and WHIZLabs..!
Thank you very much !!!

About the exam , i noticed the following:
1. lots of questions on thread.
2. test focuses on understanding of concepts rather than mugging up API's.
This is good because i just cant by-heart the API
3. Questions are similar to those in excercises in K&B book.IF those are understood well then test shd be manageable.
4. And yes, its not THAT easy ..though its not very tough also..

Hope this helps fellow SCJP takers !

Thanks again
Suparna
