Hi all

i am planning to give SCJP 1.5 exam
on this friday.........(but i am too sad )

so i need some tips on to which points i
must focus the most in this last minute

i am losing my confidence since yesterday i tried mock
exam on this site

http://www.javablackbelt.com/QuestDefListing.wwa

from this i passed in 4 exams(with 60 to 70%) but i failed
in one exam
now i am confused to what i must do
should i go ahead with exam?
.......
are there any chances that i wil clear............seing
my mock results i am becoming upset .

i read K&B book twice i am reading
it the third time again...........
but i just read somwhere that k&B
has CD which consist of practice test
but i dont have it
.

On this last minute
i am in this trouble should i give more mock exam?
(bcoz of which i lost confidence)
or should i keep reading K&B?
should i just revise two minutes drills?

after preparing for such a long time(8 months)
m still in a lonely sea..........

please can anyone advice me ............
to what i must do know?

thanks in advance.

Don't be discouraged! I haven't seen anyone's results from Java blackbelt to know how they did on the test but try searching to see their results. If you have prepared to 8 months and read K&B twice I can't imagine you would have too much of a problem passing the SCJP (can't say for sure though). One thing about the mock exams that is good to get experiance with is how tricky the questions can be.

Did you try to see what types of problems you are getting wrong? If so then you could figure if you get the tricky ones wrong or the API questions or whatever questions involved.

I think, it's no use for you to cram in the last days before the exam. Just try to brush up on the topics you think you know the worst. The best for you is to stop worrying, relax and get a good sleep in the night before the exam.
Looks like you're in pretty good shape. You'll manage it.
Good luck!

I agree, a large part of this test is the trickiness of the questions and if you are tired it's going to be harder to notice those things. Make sure to get some good sleep. Cramming really isn't the best idea, just try to make a simple review of the points you need to remember.

Hi Dhwani,
Just needed a guidance from you on Java 1.5 cert. Even I am planning to give this exam this weekend. I have gone through K&B twice along with the mock exams on the CD. Is it sufficient? I do I require to give more mock exam from some where else?

Hi Charmy Madhvani

If you have read K&B book twice
thoroughly and are clear with concepts
and have solved questions from CD
i think that is enough ...........
But one thing i will say is
for exam you need lots of practicing
code urself...write many small programmes
it realy helps a lot....knowing methods, its flow etc.

just reading book and giving
mock from CD may be still leaves with some doubts........isnt it
but if you have been programming for some time than you must go ahead
with exam?

Anyways all the best ahead with your exam..........
