BrainBench has a Struts test. It's a part of their "Brainbench Certified Internet Professional Program (BCIP) - Web Developer" certificate (it's not in the core test. It's an elective test (one you can take after you succeeded the core BCIP tests.

Thanks a lot!

Does certification from BrainBench add value to your Resume?

The value of a (any) certificate is hard to measure.

Is that your personal thought or are you saying in general?

Well.... personally (and the opinion of my firm too), I don't know that Brainbench really is worth it. I feel more confident in exams offered by other companies, but I think the biggest problem that we have with the company in specific is that there's no validation that the person who took the test is the one who is named on the form (which is not an issue, per se, with Prometric or VUE). I do personally use the exams to test my knowledge and as a prep for other exams, but I don't feel as comfortable with accepting them as equals to other certs.

But, this illustrates something that gets said frequently around here about certifications in general - they're worth what you and the other party considering them hold them to be. That can mean that they can be important or irrelevant in different situations. It's all rather subjective.

The one time I did take a free brain bench cert exam. The exam was sufficiently difficult. However it was to easy to cheat on. I would use it as a practice exam for one of the other certs.

I would not give it any weight in an interview.
