I spent couple of serious hours today having a look at what all sutff is around, how to get started etc.
Definitely it is not the RMH for me.
I think I will go for the
Blue Prints/
J2EE tutorial are the way to start.
Almost everyone has read the chapters 3 4 5 7 8 in the blueprints. What about 2 and 6??
Things in J2EE tutorial that I find relevant are:
Understanding XML,
Java API for XML Processing, Building Web Services
with JAX-RPC,
SOAP with Attachments API for Java, Java API for XML
Registries.
But to begin with, like making my feet get wet-deploying a sample web service, I think the chapter Building Web Services with JAX-RPC should be good enough?
But I am yet not sure what all things are a MUST read in the
WST Web Services Tutuorial? Can any one help me?
But i think a good basic idea is must for me before grabbing the RMH
Have already spent enough time dozing with it
Please advice on the above.
Also, keeping in mind that I am a zero-WS experince guy, what should I grab first- Blueprints or the J2EE tutorial's Building Web Services
with JAX-RPC to make my feet wet in the WS world
?
