does the case study in the book give some hints about displaying business delegates in the class diagram?
i guess i'm getting a bit psycho about this ;-)

No, the class and sequence diagrams are fairly high level and not even as detailed as the ones in Roberts & Cade book. Same is true for Component diagrams.
For Part II assignment Cade's book is undoubtedly better in terms of sample diagrams, guidelines and tips.
