From Prepare Itinerary sequence diagram how do I show calling of PriceItinerary sequence diagram? Or should I just put a note in the Prepare Itinerary SD showing continuation?

For UML2, use "ref" type of fragment.
there is a tutorial:

One more question - Is it a good idea to show Loop, Opt, alt fragments in the sequence diagram or the high level diagram is fine?

I think you could use couple of fragments to indicate the significant branch in the business process, but not too many fragments to cover all the alternative path in too detail.

Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
